Q: You’ve built a $5M+ practice in under a decade. What’s the foundation behind that kind of growth?


A: It really comes down to three things: exceptional patient experience, clinical efficiency, and a strong data-driven strategy. I’ve always treated my practice like a business—not in a cold, corporate way, but in a purposeful way. I want every part of the patient journey to feel thoughtful, seamless, and modern. We’ve digitized everything—from how we schedule, to how we communicate, to how we retain patients post-treatment. That frees us up to focus on what matters most: the care.


I also built systems that allow us to scale. You can’t hit $5M by doing everything yourself or running on gut instinct. You need automation, delegation, and a team that buys into the vision.


Q: What can doctors expect to learn in your OP Summit session?


A: This is the lecture I wish I had when I started. I’m going to walk through the exact blueprint I used to grow Mint Orthodontics. That means we’ll talk about:

Q: Bright Referral and Retain have gotten a lot of buzz. Can you explain how they fit into your growth strategy?


A: Absolutely. Bright Referral replaces the old-school paper pad with an NFC-enabled digital system that makes it ridiculously easy for referring dentists to send patients your way. It helps us capture and convert leads faster and keeps the dentist-patient connection strong. And Retain is a post-treatment platform that keeps us connected to patients after debond—through an app-based subscription model. That means recurring revenue without recurring chair time. We stay top-of-mind, protect long-term outcomes, and continue serving our patients without overwhelming our team.


Both tools extend the patient lifecycle and create new opportunities for revenue and retention.



Q: For doctors who feel stuck at $1–2M and can’t seem to grow past it—what’s usually missing?


A: The most common roadblock is not knowing their numbers. Doctors often focus on gross production or new patients, but they’re not tracking things like conversion rate, cost per start, or net revenue per team member. Once you know those numbers, you can fix what’s broken. Usually, the problem isn’t new patients—it’s conversion, scheduling, or inefficiencies.


Another piece is mindset. You’ve got to think like a CEO, not just a clinician. That doesn’t mean working more—it means making smarter decisions, automating where you can, and building a team that runs with the vision.



Q: What’s one simple change any practice can make to start moving toward the $5M model?


A: One of the lowest-hanging fruits is your consult workflow. Most practices don’t have a process—they have a conversation. We built out a consistent flow for every exam, with clear roles, digital follow-ups, customized video recaps, and a clear CTA. That alone improved our case acceptance by 15% in under 90 days.


If you’re not converting at least 70–80% of your consults, no amount of marketing will fix it. That’s where I’d start.



Q: Any final words for doctors considering your session at Summit?


A: Whether you’re at $1M, $3M, or just launching, this talk is for you. I’m not here to sell software—I’m here to show what’s possible when you combine smart systems, great patient experience, and intentional leadership.
